Four Ryder Cuppers from America's most recent team --
Jim Furyk,
Scott Verplank,
Chris DiMarco and
Vaughn Taylor -- have committed to play in the 40th Annual Verizon Heritage, the tournament announced Wednesday.
Hilton Head Island's PGA Tour event will be played April 14-20 at Harbour Town Golf Links.
Furyk, who has won 13 PGA Tour events and more than $35 million, owns three top-10 finishes at Harbour Town, including a pair of seconds. Furyk went nose-to-nose with
Aaron Baddeley two years ago, only to lose out on the 72nd green. He's represented the United States on the last five Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup teams.
Verplank, the former Oklahoma State star, captured last year's EDS Byron Nelson Championship en route to another Presidents Cup berth. He has three top-10 finishes at Harbour Town and will be making his 17th appearance.
DiMarco has won three times on Tour and over $20 million. Taylor has been a serious contender the past two years at the Heritage, finishing third and fourth.
