Boo's mom: The good karma was flowing in Round 2

Published Saturday, April 19th, 2008

I'm sure my daughter will call and say, "Your favorite did really well today," like she always does. She's always joking that Boo's my favorite, but I want to remind her that she's still my favorite, also. I have two favorites.

It was another enchanting day. I had chill bumps all day because I could tell early on it was going to be a good day. Boo really played great. He shot 7 under, and he's only a shot off the lead.

I guess we're going to have to go to the same place for dinner that we did Thursday night and order the same thing. I'm very superstitious.

We used to wear green on Sunday all the time, because the first tournament where Boo made the cut everybody just so happened to have green on that day. So, from that point on, we always said everybody had to wear green, because that stands for money. Since then, we've kind of gotten away from that because he didn't do too good on a couple Sundays when we were wearing green. But we might have to think again about that one, because it just so happens Boo and I were wearing green today. I might have to wash this shirt and wear it again Sunday.

You could see that he was zoned in. There's just that look in his face, and I've gotten where I know it. Even when I'm playing good, I kind of feel the karma, you know, and I could tell he was feeling it today.

I guess about the third or fourth hole I started to get the feeling it was going to be a real good day, just by watching the way he was swinging and carrying himself I could tell he was confident.

Hopefully he can keep it up for two more days. Today's a new day, and you never know what it's going to hold.
